The NCCC Security Section has worked to keep our Nakuru City Campus College (NCCC) community safe for more than 20 years. With professionally trained internal security personnel and outsourced security firm, the department operates 24 hours on a daily basis covering all faculties and departments under NCCC premises.
The Security Department has three (3) University members of Staff and thirty two (32) security guards drawn from a private security firm (PELT) that serves as the primary policing implementers and security surveillance on and around the NCCC premises including Administration block, Kokeb, Showground, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing and Community Health.
Core functions
- Safeguards life of students and staff, and property of the university.
- Handle staff and students cases and resolve them appropriately
- Provides safe and secure learning environment for the students.
- Ensures there is enough security for the visitors coming into the university premises.
- Work in collaboration with the National Police Service and supervisors of the contracted security service provider in maintaining law and order within the NCCC premises and detection of criminal activities.
- Investigations of cases reported in the department
- Liase with the Chief Security Officer on matters of general security within the campus
